APP RULES

Last updated August 24, 2026

This page describes the general app rules of Furzona. You are expected to respect and follow all of the rules listed here. If you are not sure if a certain rule applies to a specific situation, contact a moderator about it first.

Remember: people can lie about themselves online. Do not take risks, there are minors present.

GENERAL

Furzona's purpose is to provide a safe and comfortable app for furries to communicate and share art, stories or other furry-related content.

1. EXPLICIT CONTENT

  1. 1.1. No sexual content. Furzona is strictly an SFW (safe for work, "PG-13") platform. Any content that is publicly posted on Furzona must be appropriate to be viewed by all ages.

Non-safe content is defined as showing genitalia, bodily fluids or waste, female nipples or sex poses. This includes fetishes such as characters using diapers in a sexual context. For human characters or humans, things such as nudity are disallowed as well.

Users who identify as "babyfur," "kidfur," etc. are allowed on the app as long as the content follows all other rules outlined in this document. ABDL content (whether real-life, drawn, 3D or animated) is considered a fetish and falls under this rule regardless of whether explicit content is shown.

  2. 1.2. No sexually suggestive content. Sexually suggestive content can be any of the following:

    1. 1.2.1. Suggestive media. Images, GIFs or videos where, for example: genitalia or breasts are barely covered, a character is in a sexual pose, a character is blushing and panting, moaning can be heard, etc. This applies to all places where you can upload media on Furzona. Moderators look at the context to determine whether something is suggestive.

    2. 1.2.2. Suggestive text. Text that suggests a sexual scenario, jokes about sexual topics, or uses words related to genitalia or other private parts.

Tip: If you want to post media or text but don't know whether it's too suggestive, you can ask a moderator for approval beforehand.

  3. 1.3. No explicit roleplaying. Roleplaying is allowed, but explicit roleplaying (also known as "ERP") is not allowed.

2. HARMFUL CONTENT

  1. 2.1. No real gore or death. Do not publish any content that has real-life gore, excessive blood, or human death. Art, 3D content and animations are not affected by this. Do not depict real known entities in gore or death, as it may be interpreted as a threat.

  2. 2.2. Do not encourage harm. Do not encourage or pressure users into harming themselves or others. This includes suggesting or encouraging suicide.

  3. 2.3. Do not threaten users. Threatening users with DDoS (denial of service attack), doxxing (leaking real information) or other threats is not allowed.

  4. 2.4. Do not discriminate. Discriminating users based on race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, nationality, veteran status or sexual orientation is not allowed. Use of derogatory slurs is also disallowed.

  5. 2.5. No terrorism, mass murderers, pedophiles, etc. Do not publish content related to terrorist organisations, mass murderers, pedophiles, etc. This includes symbols like swastikas (Hakenkreuz), even in art. This also includes educational content.

  6. 2.6. No real-life gambling. Do not publish or promote real-life gambling. Gambling depicted in art or fictional stories is allowed.

Note: Swearing is allowed, under the condition that it is not done too frequently or aggressively and the content follows all other rules (no threats or derogatory slurs, etc.).

3. ILLEGAL CONTENT

  1. 3.1. No animal abuse, bestiality, or zoophilia. Do not publish any content that depicts real-life abuse, torture, or sexual exploitation of animals. This applies to real-life content and written content that is not fictional. Art depicting abuse is allowed if it's fictional, with the exception of sexual exploitation never being allowed to be depicted in any content.

  2. 3.2. No human abuse. Do not publish any content that depicts the physical, sexual, or psychological abuse of a real person. This includes non-consensual acts, torture, or content intended to humiliate or degrade a real individual. Written content that glorifies or encourages real-world harm is also not allowed.

  3. 3.3. No CSAM or grooming. Do not publish any content that sexually depicts, exploits, or endangers minors in any form. This includes real, illustrated, or AI-generated material. Do not publish content that could be used to groom, manipulate, or gain the trust of minors for the purpose of exploitation. This includes advice, scripts, or strategies designed to facilitate contact with or abuse of minors. Violations will be reported to authorities.

4. TYPE OF CONTENT

Do not make posts, comments, messages or other content that:

  1. 4.1. Intents to start or promote starting drama about a subject. See 5. DRAMA for our definition of drama posts.

  2. 4.2. Targets or promotes targeting a user. For example, calling someone out by username.

  3. 4.3. Pressures, coaxes or manipulates users into doing something unwillingly or out of pity. This refers mainly to manipulating users in order to get them to do something for the manipulator.

  4. 4.4. Tells people to report a user. This is considered mass-reporting and will not get the user or content banned/removed/reviewed faster. It may even slow down moderation as all these reports will have to be resolved separately.

  5. 4.5. Bullies, attacks, or hates on a user or group.

  6. 4.6. Reveals another user's information without consent. E.g. leaking someone's emails or phone numbers without their express permission.

  7. 4.7. Contain, condone or show illegal content or activities. This includes drugs or related drug devices or activities.

  8. 4.8. Show real firearms or clips from war. This counts for content that is not drawn or animated. Every media containing any firearm will be removed unless it is clearly mentioned that it is a fake gun (e.g. Airsoft) or has an orange tip. This is to prevent having to guess which firearms are fake vs. real based on the model.

  9. 4.9. Talk about politics. We consider politics to be too off-topic for an app focused on the furry community as politics can stir up controversy.

If your post is disruptive to the Home page, moderators may hide the post from Home or edit out spam. Posts hidden from Home are still visible to your followers and on your profile.

5. DRAMA

Drama posts are posts that disturb the community, usually by targeting users, other apps, or moderation.

Most drama posts have good intentions. For example, users can make them to warn users of dangerous activity, or to share their opinion on events happening within the app. However, the posts usually have a contrary effect:

Note: To keep the app's Home page clean, if you have something to say to one particular user, try do it in private chats or hide your posts from Home. If you're blocked, do not attempt to circumvent it and interact with them. If you want to ask for a public suspension reason, please message a moderator or send an email to not clutter the Home page.

6. SPAM

  1. 6.1. Do not spampost. Do not flood the Home page with multiple posts after each other. If you just posted and have anything extra to mention you can edit your previous post.

  2. 6.2. No post chains. Do not engage in chains or entice other members to start post chains or create reposts of the same content.

7. DATING AND RELATIONSHIPS

Furzona is not a dating app and is accessible to users under 18. We do not allow dating-related posts or comments in public spaces. This is primarily content asking to date or similar.

Content asking to meet friends is allowed.

8. AI CONTENT

The following rules are for posts and message media. Profile icons and banners are exempt.

  1. 8.1. No AI-generated artwork. Do not publish artwork that has been fully or partially generated by AI. This includes but is not limited to backgrounds, line art, coloring, or other visual elements where AI generation is used as part of the creation process, even if the result has been manually edited afterward.

  2. 8.2. No tracing or reproducing AI-generated art. Do not trace over or reproduce AI-generated imagery and present it as your own work.

  3. 8.3. No AI-generated creative writing. Do not publish stories, fictional narratives, poems, or other writing intended as a creative work or art form that has been written or substantially rewritten by AI. Casual posts and general communication (e.g. describing your day, announcements, comments) are not affected by this rule.

  4. 8.4. No AI-altered imagery. Do not publish real-life photos or artwork that have been visibly altered by AI. Tools that do not affect visible content, such as upscaling or noise reduction, are allowed.

  5. 8.5. Do not deceive using AI. Do not use AI in text or media to deceive users. Doing this will be seen as an attempt to scam users.

9. COPYRIGHT

  1. 9.1. No stolen or traced art. Do not post other people's art or tracings thereof in a way it can be interpreted as being made by you. Do not place your tag, watermark or name on art you don't own.

  2. 9.2. Give credits to artists. All art has to have explicit credit to the original author and/or source if not explicitly licensed to be allowed to be shared without.

  3. 9.3. Do not post paywalled content. Do not post paid content you don't own (from for example Patreon and places alike).

  4. 9.4. Do not impersonate users, groups or brands. Usernames must not contain any references to copyrighted or owned brands. Your account should not impersonate a person or group.

10. GROUP CHATS

Group chats must follow the same rules as Furzona, and group chat owners may establish additional rules. As a group admin or group owner, you are responsible for what happens in group chats. Failure to comply with Furzona's rules can result in deletion of the group chat.

Illegal content inside any group chat must be reported to Furzona's moderators.

11. ACCOUNTS

Do not create an account whose only purpose is to:

  1. 11.1. Show dislike or hate towards furries. Haters of the furry community (usually represented as "anti-furries") may not join the app solely to break rules

  2. 11.2. Advertise. Your account may not be created solely to advertise a brand, service or product. This excludes advertising commissions.

  3. 11.3. No ban evasion. Do not create or use other accounts when an account of yours has been suspended.

12. REPORTS

You may report content that is breaking the rules by tapping on the "Report" button associated with the content or by messaging a moderator.

  1. 12.1. Do not mass report. Do not create multiple reports about the same problem. Moderators review reports in their free time, and creating more reports will only slow down the time it takes to read and act upon them. If too many reports are made from the same account, the account in question may receive a warning.

13. MODERATION INFO

Moderators can issue three types of punishments:

Moderators have the right to warn, suspend or terminate your account based on these rules. If something lies within a gray area of breaking the rules, it is up to the moderators to decide whether or not to remove the content. If you think a warning, ban or content removal is unfair then you can always message a moderator (even if your account is suspended) or admin about it, or send an email to [email protected].

Unlike public suspension reasons, public ban reasons are visible on the profiles of banned accounts. You may ask a moderator for the public suspension reason via DM. Please do not make posts on Home asking for public suspension reasons.

For privacy reasons, we will only provide public ban and suspension reasons to users. Private ban and suspension reasons are full explanations on actions and may not be appropriate for users, and they will only be provided to the punished user via DM or via email to [email protected].

All of the above rules apply to moderators as well. If you think a moderator is breaking the rules or abusing their power, message an admin and provide all the details.

If you disrespect or threaten a moderator, your punishment should not be more than if you disrespected or threatened a normal user. You can always check if your punishment is valid by messaging an admin.

The app's moderators and admins are located in the "About" section of the settings. Keep in mind moderators do not have to answer you and shouldn't feel pressured to do so.

UPDATES

If any noticeable changes are made to these app rules, you will be notified through the app.
